November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United States in 1938.  In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars.  Veterans Day gives Americans the opportunity to honor the bravery and service of all U.S. veterans.

Haralson County Republican Party will honor their Veterans on Saturday, November 14, 2015, with a covered dish dinner.  The dinner will be held at the  Haralson County Chamber of Commerce beginning at 6:00 PM.  HCGOP will provide Turkey and Dressing and guests are asked to bring a covered dish.

Guest Speaker for this event will be Ron Johnson, Head of State GOP Veterans Committee. “We are fortunate to have Ron in this position with the State party” states Robert Smith, HCGOP Chairman.  “He’s always looking out for the welfare of our veterans and always there when you need him.”

Please join us for this special event honoring our Veterans. You may RSVP by contacting one of the following HCGOP Officers: Robert Smith, Joe Corley, Marcy Heath,  or Maria House
